Copyright and takedown
Last updated
Rendeer hosts tools that people publish. If you own a copyright and believe something published here infringes it, tell us and we will act.
This page describes a notice under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you are elsewhere, send the same information and we will treat it the same way.
Sending a notice
Write to hello@rendeer.design with the subject line "Copyright notice" and include all of the following.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- What work you say has been infringed, specifically enough that we can identify it.
- A link to the tool, comment or profile you say infringes it.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we do
A complete notice gets the content removed or hidden, usually within a few business days. We tell the person who published it what was removed and pass on your notice, including your contact details, because the law requires it and because they need them to respond.
An incomplete notice will be sent back with the missing part named. We are not able to act on a notice that does not include the statements above.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you are entitled to use the work, send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, identification of what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your signature, and your consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in the district where you live, or, if you are outside the United States, any district where we may be found.
We pass the counter-notice to the person who complained. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have gone to court, we may restore the content.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly. That is a condition of the safe harbour we rely on, not a discretion we exercise case by case.
A note about generated work
Tools on Rendeer are generated by AI models, which are trained on existing work and can produce something that resembles it. We do not screen output for infringement and we could not do so reliably. If you believe a generated tool reproduces your work, the process above applies to it exactly as it applies to anything else here.
